I was in a car accident, where the driver was an employee of where I worked. L&I took the claim and my life has not been the same. Yes victim is the right word.I recovered only 67% of my wages lost, no pain and suffering settlement, and it has been almost impossible to get a new job (since my employer let me go, because of the accident)because I now have an open claim with L&I. I have not been able to get an attorney to take the case, because they fear the system to.
I find it to be a conflict of interest that a insurance company can represent both the employer and employee, when their main objective is not to spend to much money on the injured worker we get treated like we commited a crime...
