The Legislature won't meet until January, 2001 unless a special session is called. A "righteous" Court decision favoring Terry Smothers would probably bring this about. The Court will definitely reach a decision before 2001 because the Legislature knows that this "injustice" will blow up in their faces more so should they be in session at the time of decision. As Frank said it won't take THAT long. My estimate would be February or early March of 2000. In the meantime, we have to keep the pressure up. Contact the Governor and your Representatives and demand that at least two injured workers be appointed to MLAC.
