It must be remebered that Work Comp is a political football and is always a political compromise.

When the "reform" was started, it was widely shouted that the scales were out of balance. Now we hear that the scales are out of kilter.

Maybe the real investigation should be focused on what scales are being used, not whose ox is being gored.

The previous fix was made with the cooperation of the unions. Fewer accepted claims, more benefits. If you have more claims accepted, (using the scales illustration) you get fewer benefits.

I don't have an answer to the issues. But, whining and posturing are not go to get the problem solved either.
