Bob You asked "Whats the difference if the hearings judge is a former claimant attorney.
Like tom said in his post, It is in Liberty Northwest's best interest for one their attorneys
to take a job as an Administrative law Judge.
This judge will help to reduce the companys overhead by ruling in the Insuransce company favor.
Take a look at what one Lawmaker has done to the system, His name is Kevin mannix
He is an Attorney with a law firm, This law firm represents the bigger business in Oregon.
Kevin Mannix has left a path of destruction in his wake and his law firm has benefited from
his legislation of current W/C laws. It is an old story, Powerful companys and even more powerful
lawmakers have been putting people in key positions for years and always not for the benefit
of the citizens. Why do you think that the cost of Worker Comp has dropped so dramaticaly
in the past ten years. Oregon was in a crisis period because the cost of doing business in this
state was expensive, And because of that expense Oregon could not attract large business to this state.
So they did the only thing possible, The powers that be put people in the right positions to help reduce
the cost of doing business and could therefore attract these companys looking to re-locate.
where they could reduce their costs, A companys biggest expenses is Workmans Comp costs.
Companys like Associated Oregon Industries has been taking money from one of the state Largest Public
Workmans Comp carriers Saif Corp, AOI uses the money to buy Political Influence for the betterment
of their Member Business's and to help reduce their cost's of doing business in Oregon.
These Organization attacked The Workmans comp system as a way to attract companys to Oregon, It as simple
as that. The Workmans Comp system in Oregon is corrupt, It only benefits the employer and the Insurance
company, Why do you think that the Insurance companys that sell W/C have helped to reduce employers W/C
costs 54%. Because the right people are in the right jobs.
