The F.B.I. continues to investigate the Manhattan-based, Medical Determinations. They were a Medical Service Bureau, acting as a middle-man for over 600 insurance companies, government agencies, and corporations in 42 states. Their customers included, besides the insurance industry, the Transit Authority, various airlines, hotels, and the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. William Sherman wrote a series of articles in the New York Post in January and February of 1997, which exposed alleged violations concerning the changing of I.M.E. reports, after they were written by the medical consultant.
