Did you find a lawyer? It will be difficult if you go to court without one so go through the yellow pages until one agrees to represent you. Also check for legal aid groups in your area. You can ask for a postponment from the court in order to seek council. You didn't mention where you live so without that I can't offer much more except that if you live anywhere near Portland one of us would be willing to go with you to the hearing. Send us e-mail with your location and we can put you in contact with another workers advocacy group. Also, if you're in Oregon the IWA has a few local chapters in addition to members in many areas of Oregon.
